What the work is
CHiiRO's interesting problems are not the ones that look interesting from outside. The interesting part is making a provenance label render correctly in every context it can appear in, or designing a permission model that doesn't collapse the moment two communities share a member, or writing an archive search that returns good results when the corpus is small and partially AI-authored.
If you've read the site and thought "I'd like to work on that" — that reaction is the first filter, and it works better than a puzzle in an interview.
How we hire
We don't run competitive hiring processes with five rounds and a take-home project. When a role opens, we describe what the work actually is, what the person needs to be able to do on day one, and what they'd be figuring out over the first three months.
There is no "we're always hiring great people" banner. If there's an open role it's listed below. If there isn't, there isn't, and we'd rather say so than keep an evergreen posting up because the career page looked empty.
