CHiiRO was built for the phone first, because the moments this product is for happen on a phone — between meetings, on the way somewhere, at eleven at night. Communities, the question archive, search, profiles, messages, events and jobs are all first-class in the app rather than being a website in a frame.
It's dark-mode native, which is not a cosmetic point on a product people open late.

Guest mode is not a paywall.
There's a guest mode. You can open the app and read public communities and discussions before creating an account — enough to tell whether these are your people, which is the only question that matters before signing up.
Some surfaces are members-only, and the app says which rather than presenting you with an empty screen.
What isn't in the shipping build yet
Some of what's described elsewhere on this site is built but not yet on the public release track. Matching that proposes people you didn't think to look for is being built. Push notifications are not working. Reminder emails don't go out.
This page is the place that list lives, because a download page that oversells is the one that generates the one-star review that says it doesn't do what the website said.
